Allergy to penicillin unsuccessfully treated with a haptenic inhibitor (benzyl-penicilloyl-N2-formil-lysine; BPO-flys). A case report.
|
| description: |
In a patient with a past history of allergy to penicillin and requiring treatment, skin tests with PNG and PPL were positive before treatment with the hapten inhibitor BPO-Flys. Administration of the hapten inhibitor BPO-Flys failed to prevent an anaphylactic response to PNG and PPL in the recipient on day 5 of treatment.
