Intravenous injection of 4-SABA conjugated to the polysaccharide levan before immunization with 4-SABA-CGG induced tolerance to the epitope 4-SABA without affecting the response to the carrier CGG. The antisera were titered by passive cutaneous anaphylaxis in outbred guinea pigs.
