Administration of 4-SABA conjugated to the polysaccharide levan 30 days after immunization with 4-SABA-CGG and SMX-CGG induced tolerance to the 4-SABA, but not to SMX or the carrier CGG, indicating the specificity of tolerance induction. The antisera were titered by passive cutaneous anaphylaxis in Wistar rats.
