description:	Anti-DNCP antisera precipitated the multivalent conjugate of the epitope DNCP conjugated to PLL, but did not precipitate the monohaptenic conjugates N¹-DNCP-N⁶-lactobionoyl-1,6-hexanediamine or N¹,N⁵-bis[2-deoxy-ß-D-glucospyranos-2-yl]-N²-DNCP-ß-alanylglutaminamide. The authors conclude that the monohaptenic conjugates do not form functionally oligovalent structures as a mechanism in eliciting a response in vivo.
