Fine specificity of the immune response to oxazolones III. Antibodies but not contact sensitivity specific for 2-furyloxazolone are controlled by an Igh-V gene in the mouse.
|
| description: |
Hypersensitivity was determined by challenging mice with compound and measuring ear weight. Antibody titers were determined by inactivation of T4 phage particles containing styryl Ox-aminocaproyl. Mice immunized with furyl-Ox cross-reacted with Styryl Ox-cap, especially mice with allotype j (strains CBA and C3H). At day 6 the reaction was higher with styryl Ox-cap, but at day 20 it was higher with Furyl Ox-cap.
