| name: |
Epitope specificity of serum antibodies directed against the extracellular domain of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein: Influence of relapses and immunomodulatory treatments.
|
| description: |
No significant difference in reactivity was seen between MS patients and healthy controls. The epitope contained an additional N-terminal SGSG spacer tetrapeptide between the biotin group and the MOG amino acids. No significant changes of immunoreactivities after 1year were observed in patients treated with glatiramer-acetate, in patients treated with interferon-beta, and in patients without any immunomodulatory treatment. The percentage of patients with positive immunoreactivities against the epitope is increased in patients who experienced the last relapse within 1 – 6months before study entry.
