Demonstration of phosphorylcholine-specific IgE B cells in CBA/N mice.
|
| description: |
When 1 ml of 0.3 M free PC was administered just before challenging with PC-BSA, the passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) reaction induced with PC-BSA was almost completely suppressed, demonstrating the specificity of the IgE to PC. This inhibition was also observed in (CBA/N X BALB/c)F1 mice. The presence of T15 idiotype on anti-PC IgE antibody produced in CBA/N x BALB/c F1 male mice also showed that anti-PC IgE antibody in anti-PC IgM defective mice was PC-specific.
