Allergenic activity was examined by injecting the epitope into the skin of patients with sea squirt allergy and scoring erythema after 15 min. The epitope was derived from a glycopepeptide fraction isolated from a Pronase digest of a large-size H-antigen, isolated from the body fluid of a sea squirt.
