Murine IgG isotype responses to the Plasmodium cynomolgi circumsporozoite peptide (NAGG)5. I. Effects of carrier, copolymer adjuvants, and lipopolysaccharide on isotype selection.
|
| description: |
IgG responses to the epitope MAP conjugated to BSA was measured. Peptide-BSA alone induced no detectable primary IgG response, and only a small secondary IgG titer. In contrast, immunization with adjuvants induced primary titers of IgG antibodies of 2800 with LPS and 7000 with L121. With LPS, the secondary titer rose approximately threefold. The two copolymer adjuvants elicited equivalent secondary responses that were higher than those induced with LPS. Immunization with the copolymer L141 plus LPS produced the highest titer. The predominant IgG isotype was identified as IgG1.
