description:
Epitope affinity-purified autoantibodies from a lupus patient reacted with the epitope in Western and dot blots. The epitope-MAP inhibited the epitope-specific Ab from binding to 5 of 6 phage-displayed random peptides selected with the Ab. It did not inhibit binding to phage clone expressing peptide SPLSTLL, which bound with low affinity in dot blots. The phage displayed epitope was constructed with an N-terminal Gly residue.
