Antibody responses against galactocerebroside are potential stage-specific biomarkers in multiple sclerosis.
|
| description: |
Anti-GalC antibodies were detected only in animals with relapsing-remitting-EAE, and not during the first attack of AM-EAE, even in the severely affected animals or in animals displaying a progressive course. The majority of these animals also demonstrate anti-MOG and anti-MBP antibodies. Anti-GalC antibodies appeared significantly later in the course of disease compared with anti-MOG or anti-MBP antibodies.
