Rabbit anti-epitope antibody inhibited sera from 68 patients with Graves' disease from binding to thyroid peroxidase (TPO). The level of inhibition varied from 18 to 86% and the mean level of inhibition was 54.29%, SD = 12.92. This indicates that the patients' sera contained antibodies to the epitope.
