name:
Delineation of the discontinuous-conformational epitope of a monoclonal antibody displaying full in vitro and in vivo thyrotropin activity.
description:
MAb IRI-SAB3, which recognizes the epitopic residues, competed the binding to TSHR by sera from Graves' disease patients. Binding to TSHR by sera from 8 patients scoring positive in a TSH-blocking antibody assay was also competed by mAb IRI-SAb3. Sera from controls or from Hashimoto's patients without TSH-blocking antibody were not competed.
