| name: |
Delineation of the discontinuous-conformational epitope of a monoclonal antibody displaying full in vitro and in vivo thyrotropin activity.
|
| description: |
MAb IRI-SAb1, which recognizes the epitopic residues, bound to TSHR and weakly stimulated cAMP production in JP26 cells. This was only 10% of the maximum stimulation generated with bovine TSH, indicating that mAb acts as a partial agonist. MAb IRI-SAb1 Fab fragments also acted as partial agonists. MAb IRI-SAb1 inhibits the binding of bovine TSH to the TSH receptor in a dose-dependent manner.
