Are anti-Helicobacter pylori urease antibodies involved in atherosclerotic diseases?
description:
The epitope was immobilized on a cellulose plate. Recognition of the epitope was significantly higher by sera from atherosclerotic patients than in nonatherosclerotic patients. Binding was lost if the sera were pre-absorbed with the epitope. The epitope was shown to be the core sequence of a longer 19-mer spanning residues 321-339.
