description:	This trisaccharide is part of the O-PS repeating unit of Shigella dysenteriae serotype 1 LPS. The O-PS from this strain is made of repeating units of alpha-L-Rhap-(1&rarr 3)alpha-L-Rhap(1&rarr 2)-alpha-D-Galp-(1&rarr 3)alpha-D-GclpNAc. This epitope-specific mAb is shown to recognize in ELISA and WB the isolated LPS from S.dysenteriae type 1 and type Y, and from E.coli transformants expressing S.dysenteriae glycosyltrasnferases, so that they express a type 1 S. dysenteriae O-PS.
