name:
Immune recognition of hormonogenic sites of human thyroglobulin: studies of Graves' sera and a murine monoclonal antibody with thyroid hormone antibody activity.
description:
The epitope sequence was cited in Malthié
ry and Lissitzky Eur J Biochem. 1987 Jun 15
165(3):491-8 [PMID: 3595599].
The epitope did not inhibit binding of the sera from Grave's patients to 125I-T4. Direct binding of the 125I-labeled epitope with gamma globulin in sera from Graves' patients was also negative. None of the patient sera showed significantly higher binding to the epitope than sera from healthy subjects.
