Of the chimeric peptides that contained RNase and ZP2, RNase-ZP2 elicited ZP antibody whereas ZP2-RNase did not. In contrast, both chimeric peptides containing the malaria epitope and ZP2 induced ZP antibody, although the titers were consistently below the titer induced by the RNase-ZP2 chimeric peptide. The response to the ZP2 chimeric peptide was confined to mice of the H-2k and H-2b haplotypes (A/J, B6, B6AF1 and C3H).
