How lamina-associated polypeptide 1 (LAP1) activates Torsin.
|
| description: |
The epitope residues were calculated from [PDB: 4TVS] as the antigen residues at 4Å
atomic distance from the antibody.
The epitope of VHH-BS1 on the luminal domain of lamina-associated polypeptide 1 (LAP1) was determined from the crystal structure of the complex, solved using molecular replacement. VHH-BS1 was used as a crystallization chaperone. There are two complexes of LAP1-VHH molecules in the asymmetric unit. VHH-BS1 binds to the area immediately surrounding the arginine finger of LAP1, thereby interfering with TorsinA binding.
