Animals tested by the active cutaneous anaphylaxis test were injected i.v. with Evans blue solution one day before challenge by intradermal injection of serial dilutions of hexaiodotrityrosine. The animals were sacrificed 30 min after challenge and the blue spot diameter was measured. Hexaiodotrityrosine showed a stronger eliciting activity than tetraiododityrosine.
