Use of recombinant chimeric antigens for the serodiagnosis of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection.

| description: |
The epitope sequence was cited in Dallo et al. Infect Immun. 1990 Dec
58(12):4163-5 [PMID:2123834].
Nine out of 39 patients with just suspected M. infection were positive. In addition, reactivity towards a GST fusion protein which contained the epitope and two additional peptides (P1 1207-1350 and MPN456 765-846 of M. pneumoniae) was also tested. Sera from 44 of the M.pneumoniae infected patients and 13 of the patients with suspected M. pneumoniae infection recognized this fusion protein.
