name:
Carboxyl end-specific monoclonal antibodies to amyloid beta protein (A beta) subtypes (A beta 40 and A beta 42(43)) differentiate A beta in senile plaques and amyloid angiopathy in brains of aged cynomolgus monkeys.
description:
The epitope sequence is from the reference cited: Roher et al. (1993) Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A 90(22):10836-40 [PMID: 8248178].
The epitope-specific rabbit anti- Aß 1-40 antibody immunostained all types of senile plaques (classical, primitive, and diffuse plaques) in the cerebral cortex of aged monkeys. The antibody stained parenchymal, meningeal arterioles and capillaries in amyloid angiopathy lesions.
