| description: |
The epitope sequence is from the reference cited: Bard et al. (2004) Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A 100(4):2023-8 [PMID: 12566568].
MAb 4G8, specific for Aß 17-24, was used as the detecting antibody in a two-site ELISA to measure Aß levels in the plasma of Tg2576 mice treated with epitope-specific mAb9. MAb 4G8 was also used as the detecting antibody to measure Aß levels in the brains and CSF of mAb9-treated Tg2576 mice and plasma and brains of mAb9-treated BRI-Aß42B mice. Mice dosed with mAb9 once or every week for 4 wk showed elevated Aß in plasma and CSF, but no significant change in Aß 1-40 levels in RIPA brain extracts.
