description:	The epitope sequence is from the reference cited: Kang et al. (1987) Nature 235: 733-736 [PMID: 2881207]. The epitope specific mAb BAN50 immunoprecipitated Aß40 from MDCK cells transfected with human ßAPP695 cDNA. The results showed polarized secretion of Aß40 into the basolateral versus the apical compartment. MAb BAN50 was also used as a capture antibody in a two site enzyme immunoassay to detect Aß leaked by MDCK cells transfected with ßAPP695 cDNA.
