name:
Lack of variation in alphaGal expression on lymphocytes in miniature swine of different genotypes.
description:
Affinity-purified epitope-specific Ab bound to porcine lymphocytes and other cells expressing the epitope. The non-lymphocyte population showed higher expression of the epitope than did lymphocytes. Epitope-expressing lymphocytes included both CD4+ and CD8+ T cells. Ab binding to porcine lymphocytes failed to demonstrate any significant different between Ab binding among two animals from each of three different genotypes (aa, cc, dd) of miniature swine.
