The epitope sequence was conserved in fibronectin-binding protein A (FnBPA) and fibronectin-binding protein B (FnBPB).
The epitope specific mAb recognized fibronectin binding repeat region of FnBPA (FnBRA) and fibronectin binding repeat region of FnBPA (FnBRA) lacking FnBPA-9, FnBPA-10 fragment by ELISA and Western blot. The epitope specific mAb also bound S.aureus bacteria expressing fibronectin-binding protein A (FnBPA), FnBPA-9, FnBPA-10 fragment played an important role during the binding.
