MAb9, specific for Aß 1-16, was used as the capture antibody in an ELISA to measure total Aß levels and in the plasma, brains and CSF of Tg2576 mice treated with epitope-specific mAb42.2. Mice passively immunized with mAb42.2 showed elevated plasma and CSF Aß, but no significant change in Aß levels in RIPA brain extracts.
