Human serum-induced porcine endothelial cell E-selectin expression is associated with IgG3 and IgM anti-Gal antibodies.
|
| description: |
There was a great interindividual variation of anti-Gal IgM antibodies in the sera from 80 blood donors, which ranged from 2 to 87 μg/ml. There was a significantly higher concentration of IgM anti-Gal in females than in males. Furthermore, females aged 20–29 had significantly higher concentration compared with females aged 40–49 and 50–59. Females aged 20–29 and 30–39 also had a significantly higher concentration than the corresponding male groups. There were no age differences in the male group.
