description:	The epitope sequence is from the reference cited: Landais et al. (1986) Cell 47(2): 173-181 [PMID: 2429774]. The epitopic residues for mAb H116-32 binding to the I-Ak alpha chain were determined by staining of L cell transfectants displaying I-Ak complexes with single alanine replacement between residues 50 and 79. Substitution of E75 abolished binding and substitution of K79 significantly reduced binding for H116-32 and other mAbs (39C and 39J) with the same specificity. H116-32 also showed reduced binding with substitution of Q61.
