name:
Effect of single amino acid substitutions on the formation of the PlA and Bak alloantigenic epitopes.
description:
Residue S882 was determined to be an epitopic determinant. Mutation of the epitopic residues resulted in a loss of binding by the anti Bakb antiserum. Binding of the antiserum to COS cells transfected with wild-type glycoprotein IIb or or the Baka-associated form encoding a Ile at position S882 of glycoprotein IIb was measured.
