name:
Characterization of the murine Th2 response to immunization with liposomal M2e influenza vaccine.
description:
Liposomal epitope vaccination protected mice against H1N1(A/PR/8/34) challenge as shown by survival and weight loss studies. In vivo depletion of CD4+ T cells reduced survival percentage and exacerbated weight loss. The authors concluded that CD4+ cells were critical for full expression of the liposomal epitope vaccine's protective response, supporting stimulation of a Th2 response by the vaccine.
