| name: |
Targeted identification of a unique glycan epitope of Schistosoma mansoni egg antigens using a diagnostic antibody.
|
| description: |
The epitope was described as derived from the O-glycan of the glycoprotein listed in Robijn et al, Mol Biochem Parasitol. (2007)151:148 [PMID:17188765].
An unconjugated oligosaccharide preparation could be purified by affinity chromatography with the epitope-specific mAB 114-4D12 from S. mansoni egg supernatant, Soluble Egg Antigen (SEA). The composition of the purified fractions, as analized by MALDI TOF-MS showed that they carry the epitope as the non-reducing end and differ in the reducing end extensions.
