name:
Double reactivity of monoclonal and polyclonal rheumatoid factors for IgG and histones: mapping of binding sites by means of histone synthetic peptides and anti-Id antibodies.
description:
The epitope sequence is from an author communication for the reference cited: Muller et al. (1989) Int Arch Allergy Appl Immunol 89: 5288-296 [PMID: 2474514].
Purified RF from 2 patients tested that reacted with histones reacted with the epitope. The epitope inhibited RF binding by 44% to histone for 1 of the 2 samples. The epitope partially (38%) inhibited 1 of 2 RF samples tested from binding to Ig. The epitope inhibited that RF binding to the epitope by 73%.
