name:
An exposed domain in the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus spike protein induces neutralizing antibodies.
description:
The epitope-specific mAb recognized whole cell lysates from Vero cells infected with SARS CoV (Toronto-2 isolate). Immunoprecipitation was also positive. MAb S26 also recognized the antigen in western blot. The epitope was deduced by N- and C-terminal truncation of the S-II fragment of the SARS spike protein.
