name:
Surface plasmon resonance analysis of antipolysaccharide antibody specificity: responses to meningococcal group C conjugate vaccines and bacteria.
description:
The meningococcal group C capsular PS (MCPS) is a linear homopolymer of alpha-(2-9)-linked sialic acid residues that are O-acetylated at carbons 7 and/or 8.
Immunization with bacteria actually depleted the naturally occuring anti-epitope antibodies found in non-immune control mice when tested by fluorescence ELISA. A very low response could be detected by SPR.
