description:	The repetitive region of the polysaccharide was acetylated on C-7 or C-8. The acetylated repetitive region containing the epitope weakly inhibited the serum bactericidal activity (SBA) against Neisseria meningitidis serogroup C strain C11 of human GCMP vaccine sera. The C-7 OA GCMP inhibited slighly better than the C-8 OA GCMP.
