name:
A neutralizing antibody selected from plasma cells that binds to group 1 and group 2 influenza A hemagglutinins.
description:
Chain A is HA1 and chain B is HA2 of hemagglutinin. The epitope residues are calculated from [PDB: 3ZTN] as the antigen residues at 4 Å
atomic distance from the antibody.
Passive transfer of 4, 8, or 16 mg/kg of body weight of epitope-specific antibody F16v3 protected mice lethally infected with A/Puerto Rico/8/1934(H1N1) virus. Therapeutic administration of 15 mg/kg 1-2 days post-infection was also protective. Passive transfer of Fv163 reduced lung virus titers and reduced body weight loss.
