description:	The epitope specificity of the anti-core polyclonal Abs was determined by the lack of reactivity in agglutination experiments to the LPS of related strains after preincubation with LPS with defined core regions. It was shown that this epitope is shared among the LPS of P. penneri 7, 14 and 15, but is not present in strain 13.
