| name: |
A shared structural solution for neutralizing ebolaviruses.
|
| description: |
Chain I is GP1 and chain J is GP2. Epitope residues are calculated from the structure [PDB: 3S88] as the antigen residues at 4 Å
distance from the antibody.
The epitope-specific 16F6 mAb neutralized infectious SUDV in the absence of complement in a plaque reduction neutralization assay. MAb 16F6 did not inhibit cathepsin L cleavage of GP1 and did not prevent SUDV GP1,2 attachment to Vero E6 cells. The authors conclude that mAb 16F6 neutralizes SUDV at a post-internalization, non-cathepsin L cleavage step.
