description:	The epitope-specific mAb reacted with the E2 protein in Western blot and in immunofluorescense assay with cells infected with recombinant baculovirus expressing E2. With the use of single residue mutants, it was shown in both types of assay that residues Y754, L755, K761, L763 and P764 of the expressed E2 proteins are required for binding.
