Vaccination with M2e-based multiple antigenic peptides: characterization of the B cell response and protection efficacy in inbred and outbred mice.
|
| description: |
The M2e epitope-based multiple antigen peptide (MAP) construct induced anti-M2 protein Abs after two immunizations that were amplified with an additional boost. Responses were similar whether the MAP contained Th epitopes CS (381-396) KKIAKMEKASSVFNVV and HBV (19-33) FFLLTRILTIPQSLD or CS (327-345) YLNKIQNSLSTEWSPCSVT and HA (307-319) PKYVKQNTLKLAT. The s.c. route induced significantly higher titers of anti-M2 abs. Abs were also detected in BAL. Responses were negative in C3H, C57BL/6, CD1/CR and Swiss Webster mice.
