The epitope-reactive del 2D1 inhibited hemagglutination activity of the 1918 (A/South Carolina/1/1918(H1N1)) and 2009 (A/Mexico/4108/09) pandemic strains, but not against the 2007 seasonal virus (A/Brisbane/59/07). MAb del 2D1 exhibited about 4-fold lower activity than wt 2D1 mAb.
