The affinity of epitope-specific antibody 4E10 for the 33-1 peptide was determined by SPR. Residue A8 of peptide 33-1 is alpha-amino isobutyric acid (Aib). The Aib residue constrained the peptide to adopt an alpha-helical conformation.
