description:	The epitope of Fab 2F5 on ES2 was determined from the crystal structure of the complex. ES2 is a construct in which the 2F5 epitope was transplanted into a scaffold of RNA polymerase sigma factor which has a backbone structure similar to the 2F5 epitope-containing region of HIV-1 gp41. Fab 2F5 had contact residues with the epitope (L107, E108, L109, D110, K111, W112, A113, G116) and with the scaffold protein (G116, Y244).
