Delivery of a DNA vaccine for Alzheimer's disease by electroporation versus gene gun generates potent and similar immune responses.
|
| description: |
Immunization of mice with the DepVac vaccine using either electroporation (EP) i.m. or gene gun (GG) intradermal delivery induced a strong anti-Aß response. EP-mediated vaccination induced predominantly IgG2a isotype antibodies (IgG1/IgG2a = 0.61), whereas GG vaccination induced predominantly IgG1 isotype antibodies (IgG1/IgG2a = 11.87). The antisera bound to monomer, oligomeric and fibrillar Aß42 peptide by dot blotting.
