name:
Naturally occurring antibodies that recognize linear epitopes in the amino terminus of the hepatitis C virus E2 protein confer noninterfering, additive neutralization.
description:
Epitope-affinity-purified sera neutralized HCV pseudo-particles expressing HCV strain H77c E2 protein, and a chimeric HCV strain JFH-1 virus expressing E2 from strain H77c. Additive neutralization was seen when sera purified against another epitope was added.
