The epitope of L85 Fab on the VACV envelope D8 protein was determined from the crystal structure of the Fab bound to the D8 (1-261) ectodomain, solved by molecular replacement. Construct D8 (1-261) exists predominantly as a monomer. There are two complexes in the asymmetric unit.
