The diagnostic performance of the biotinylated synthetic peptide was evaluated with human serum samples that were previously screened (indirect ELISA on variant surface glycoproteins, serum dilution 1/100) on reactivity with variant surface glycoproteins LiTat 1.3 and 1.5.
