The epitope sequence was cited in Zheng et al. J. Biol. Chem. 276 (44), 41059-41063 (2001)[PMID:11557746]. The epitope sequence was deduced.
The inhibitory effect of the epitope-specific monoclonal antibody was assessed by FRETS-VWF73 assay. Standard plasma of healthy donors was used as source of the antigen ADAMTS13. The epitope-specific mAb was able to inhibit VWF cleavage by ADAMTS13. The epitope was deduced based on reactivity to overlapping phage displayed peptide fragments.
