Binding of autoantibodies to the core region of tissue transglutaminase is a feature of paediatric coeliac disease.
description:
The epitopic residues recognized by serum IgG from pediatric CD patients were determined by analysis of binding to mutant tTG with single or multiple alanine substitutions at positions C277, H335 or D358. Mutation of any of these residues significantly reduced IgG binding in both adult and pediatric patients.
